My husband and I decided to rent a unit and came to this place with questions. We left totally satisfied with an excellent customer service provided by David.He is a very nice,polite, professional, very helpful and an accommodating person.He took his time to show us this facility and answered all our questions. We didn’t feel rushed, we felt very comfortable with David from the beginning to the end of our visit. This place is very very bad I use to work here I got a lawsuit against this place the district manager is a racial person don’t care about your problem really just the workers problems I complain to her plenty time …. They let people break into your locker … don’t do nothing about it ……. The district manager name ms. Rekala she do a very very bad job. Sine she took over for Evan miller the place went down to the dirt …. And be careful in the office because she might let the employees stab u up or try n kill u trust me it be plenty of stabbing n the facility be careful ….. the only person n this place came help u is Noel great person n only guy besides Adam that will actually help u don’t let me get started on miss Lisa …..this lady do nothing that’s a mother story tho smh I can wait to my lawyers serve them …. I had to quit because of the district manager was very disrespectful she a disappointment to the Cubesmart team

They were selling the lock for $20 and this lock you can find it for $2 dollars at any store. Ripoff I’ll cancel my membership next month. The worst thing is that you don’t have a plan of the storehouse building hanging in front of the elevator, it’s a terrible labyrinth, I still didn’t understand where mine was, I wandered around the floor for half an hour until I accidentally stumbled upon it. The unit numbers are not in order, 7200 goes, below 7800, opposite 7500, where is the building plan? What's the point of keeping such a secret as the building's layout when the elevator is activated by a password? You upset me.

Stuff gets stolen out of your unit, no one cares! And they always raise the price. I’d definitely say it’s an inside job! Mesh ceiling in units are not secure, they can be raised to get stuff out of the units.

Noel is a hero!!! I asked the worker for her name but the worker said she would not tell me his name and told me to leave the office or she would call the police. and she called :) This is not your personal home! The office has opening hours for visiting people. You can't kick people out during business hours (without reasons) and call the police to do it. This took alot of courage to write this review but i am not afraid anymore: One of the managers here Lisa, called me for an "interview", she showed me around the store for 2 minutes, then told me to call her 2 weeks later, when i called her they told me to call back the next day, when i called back the next day, she told me to call back on friday because her district manager would be there, when i called for the final time she said that they "changed their mind about hiring me". It is very funny that before they saw me they were willing to hire me. While i was in the store i noticed that every employee inside was african american, and there was not a single other person who was a different skin color. It is obvious that i was mistreated and denied employment because of my skin color. It really seems that because of the BLM movement alot of white people are being denied employment because they are deemed to be "racist by nature". I will definitely be opening a case against this location for discrimination because this is more than enough proof. I have all the phone call recordings, and i even recorded the audio in the store when i had this so called "interview". I want everyone to know what kind of people you are doing business with here. I don't care how many times you will say things like "Black people can't be racist" or "You need to have proof of this". This staff was racist and i definitely have all the proof. People are out here actually fighting for equaility and these staff members are using it as an excuse to be racist. The founders of BLM would be ashamed to find some of their followers being racist when they are fighting to end racism all together. I am not a racist and don't have a problem with anyone just because of the color of their skin. I also dont think its fair to not hire someone because you assume they are racist with no evidence. Notice how they have not responded either.

I rent a medium storage space for about 1 year already. It’s great, but the only problem is that I found insects on my staff. That was surprise for me. PS. I sent photos and all information to the email that you provided. Next day (Thursday) I’ve got a call from Cubesmart. Lady was extremely friendly and said that next day (Friday) I’ll get a call and one of cubesmart team will reach me and we together will check my storage space. Service for this time was increased prices more then 24%. On your t website advertising price for same unit is $92.25. CubeSmart not responding to any emails.

I've switched to this location form another public storage. before i had a box under the ceiling (needed to climb steps) at the same cost as a small room accessible from the floor level. Good rates - they do go up but up to a certain point. clean facility, great working hours, plenty of parking, welcoming staff, good location. don't see any cons. life saving for city dwellers.

Since she is the only person you ever see there, she can’t attend to everything at once, so no complaints for her job performance, but come on CubeSmart. Problem was finally resolved after having to go 2 days in a row to wait for somebody to fix a bent latch. One worker lied and said she called me about the maintenance is now here to fix it. When I showed up she said he left. I had to keep my locker unlocked for another day I thought. One worker was off duty and didn’t answer anymore questions about it and said she is off. I told her I’m calling corporate on this matter. The other worker came up to my unit and replaced the latch herself. I was very grateful for the worker to resolve the problem. THANKS for doing a job!!

The customer service here truly is amazing! And Shanee is WONDERFUL! She was literally glowing with warmth and friendliness throughout the entire rental process! From her warm welcome to the comprehensive way she explained everything.... she even went the extra mile and made sure I put my key on my keychain so I wouldn’t loose it! I’ve has multiple units through the years at Secure Self Storage which is also in the Coney Island neighborhood. I purposely didn’t go back there because if the horrible customer service. I found the exact opposite to be true at Cube Smart! The customer service I received during my check in today with Shanee was wonderful!

Went in to close out one unit and open another. Stacey was very helpful and we went through the process very quickly. The entire staff was friendly and engaging. Even though I already had a unit in the building they still walked me to my new unit and inspected it with me to make sure there were no issues. Everything was smooth and effortless.

Cube Smart staff is very polite at first, after being a loyal customer for about 8 months I start noticing things that made me worry. After 9pm when the place should be closed there are many people are still coming in and out of the facility, many of who do not have a storage in the building. “So what are they doing at the CubeSmart?” When I expressed my worries about being robbed as the only camera on the floor is looking at the elevator door. And there are no camera on each of six floors of this building, that has hundreds of storage lockers and there is not a single security guard at the shell rd facility, Shane suggested I move to a different floor. As I was moving to a different floor I was approached multiple times to sell my stuff or how much I value things inside my locker. And eventually I receive a call early in the morning from CubeSmart stating that a burglary took please and I should come in and see if my locker was one of the once broken into. When I arrived about 20 minutes later I was told that I should go check my things as the door to my locker was literally ripped out. To my surprise the door was bent in as if it was made out of paper and my locker looked a mess. There were many empty boxes as most of my belongings was removed from them. I did not know what to do as everything was upside down. How much money was lost, how many hours I spent while waiting in line for a pair of Nike sneakers. One of the managers told me that I need to move to a different locker but there are no lockers are available as all big size empty lockers are reserved. The only solution was to try to unbent the broken door and change the lock which has been physical ripped of. Since I got approval to move I thought it would take no time to go to the new locker. However, I was told that I need to clean out the broken locker before walking away. Since burglary happened on the night of Memorial Day May 31st-June1st when I came in next morning there was a lock on the door for non-payment. To my surprise I had to now pay for this locker and a new locker on a different floor. After I paid and lock was removed I learned that there is no trash can to put the mess my locker looked like after burglary in. There is pretty much I’m on my own and it is my problem attitude from some of the managers on staff. There was non “We apologize for your inconvenience”, it was take out your boxes, trash and .etc away from here and you figure out how to deal with your problems as it is not our job. I could not get one of many carts they have chained on the first floor as when I came to clean up after work it was to late for me getting one as all staff is leaving at 7. So I was charged for my old and new lockers and there is no guarantee that my new unit is secure. As there nothing has changed yet. No security, no extra video camera that looks at the alternative entrance - “stares that go up to each of six or seven floors where people can go up and down each floor of this building.“ Moreover, when I noticed people who do not have an access code for the door and elevators and are trying to shadow others to get on any floor of the storage facility and called the manager, I was completely ignored. She did not even look at the cameras. And have me an attitude as if I’m causing drama and giving her more work. Cube Smart you made me feel like a worthless piece of garbage today. I hope there is a person In this organization who actually cares about safety of its customers and honors the commitment to provide secure storage! Alexander Zhukovsky

The employees at this CubeSmart are so rude & unwelcoming that I have no idea how anyone would want to rent here with such a negative attitude. Tanisha and Krystal were just a terror to deal with. The manager Lisa needs retraining on how to deal and speak to public. She was nothing but rude, had no customer service skills and definitely no basic people skills. I will be taking this complaint higher to corporate. Please do yourselves a favor go to the CubeSmart on cropsey where there are nicer emplpoyees.

Not happy with management. They raised the price of my unit TWICE in 2022 without warning. Both times $20 each. I spoke with a rep who stated she will get in contact with the district manager and I haven't heard back. 2023 update. Rent is being raised again . This marks the 3rd time since 2022. Only reason I stayed with them is because it's close to home. Not any longer. I will be looking to open a storage unit elsewhere. Greed has taken over this establishment.

I do not write reviews often, but Stacey is so amazing that I absolutely have to. The location is conveniently placed, clean and well maintained. Moving is always a stressful experience, and having to deal with trucks, packaging, lease agreements, storing property may become challenging for many of us. At times like this it is crucial to meet a true professional who is dedicated to providing an excellent service to customers and would go the extra lengths to take the stress of your shoulders and make the transaction be as pleasant and smooth as possible. The facility is well organized and security is great. The storage itself was ready and clean. The office visit was okay, this was my first time so I needed to know how to use the security code and although I do understand that its covid 19 time a friendlier welcome would have been nicer. I waited for a customer to be taken care of while the second attendant didn't bother to move, she was walking around and not doing anything, until i knocked on the door. Only then did she come up and explain where to go and where to enter the code.

This is my first time using storage. I came in today to check-in for a unit I reserved earlier on-line. Tanesha was a dream!!! She explained everything I needed to know, was very patient and incredibly pleasant to deal with!! This location is clean and peaceful!! They have great hours of operation and extended hours if you need to get to your unit when office is closed or on holidays. They are pretty booked right now so I suggest thinking ahead and reserving your unit in advanced.

Receiptionist looks like nice lady first of all, but she is so slow and we stayed more then 1 hour just to get a storage room. She was angry that she stays there after closing. However it was not our fault that she works so slow! Overall place is nice and clean. Thanks God that we have to deal with employees just twice. Receptionist was very condescending. My daughter went inside to all about prices and the girl replied with "you can see those prices online". In the age of technology we know we can. However, we were in the vicinity and decided to go inside. As my daughter walked away the girl says "I can help you if you want". To late. If we had rented a storage space there, that would mean we would have to continue working with you. We went to Treasure Island. They clearly understand customer service.

Okay not only is it disgusting that they don’t have donation units or dumpsters outside for any instance where someone dies and you have to empty their storage unit but you have to squeeze for a bit of empathy and customer service. Overall I have no issues with the staff who are all friendly or the facility itself. However my biggest problem is the cost. New customers pay almost 50% cheaper while a loyal customer pays more. I paid for a year and wish to continue to store my things here for the next few years. I get charged ~440 a month for a 10x15 while a new customer pays ~320 a month. I just wish it was a little cheaper.

Horrible experience. I’ve been a customer/tenant here for almost a year, I was a happy customer, until last month when they changed policies. Now I’m being treated like garbage. They’re refusing to rent me an additional room. Claiming “only one room per family”. When I currently have 2 rooms and previously I’ve had up to 4 rooms here. DONT RENT FROM CUBESMART EVER. They’re just garbage people.

Stacey & Lilia are incredibly friendly and professional staff members at this location. They made my sign up process very easy and simple. Stacey showed me the unit and found me a discount. She was very detailed and professional with all the paperwork and lease information. What’s most important about the process was Stacey’s great energy and attitude. Nowadays is hard to find people like her. She’s like a friend full of character that you’ve known for a while and is there to help. I love my unit and the facilities are so nice and clean. THE WORST staff of all the public storage places I've rented in the past 20 years! Units are new and carpeting is fresh (static in the winter?) However the staff makes this location unbearable: Manager, Lisa, is unapologetic about making numerous mistakes. Lilila is hostile and dishonest. NiAshia is 3 weeks late in replying to my full refund request. Paying rent on time? Not at this facility: they were more than 90 minutes late in opening up the office with a line of people waiting to pay their rent!

Lighting near my unit is inadequate(sensor for the light is too far away) every six minutes i have to stop what I'm doing to activate sensor & too many #'s in access code for building & elevator also i have trouble aligning latch on my unit to lock it up.

CubeSmart on this location is newly opened facility. Prices are little bit overpriced, but the service is great. It is took just few minutes to rent a storage space. Rooms are clean and the place looks secure. You can get to your storage from 7am to 9pm, which is very convenient.

Walked in to look at a storage locker. Everything was nice, new and clean. The helpful staff offered the same locker to us right then and there if we wanted it. The whole process took about 10 minutes. It was easy with no hassle. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants self storage.

Yesterday I went in to see a storage unit, I was amazed by the huge amount of space there was. I saw a locker that was suitable for my needs and rented it, Lisa the manager was a great people person and assisted me with a high level of professionalism, today I go back to actually put some stuff into my unit and needed a key for a dolly, the lady was rude arrogant and down right ghetto, didn't catch her name, but I'm sure the record logs will know who she was, I was there around 6:10pm 9/18/2016, I asked for a key to use the dolly, upon me asking she had a disgusted look on her sour puss face, and told me "you need to hurry up because I'm closing this joint at 6:45" so I get the key, put my stuff in my locker and boom it's 6:12pm and the gates are coming down, she was very rude and disgruntled and shouldn't be working in a retail environment, I manage a automotive parts Dept for 2 auto dealerships on Neptune & Coney Island Ave, and that's no way to treat a paying/renting customer, luckily there isn't a storage closer to me because I would have taken My stuff elsewhere, overall my sign up experience and Lisa were the best part of me renting here.

My entire experience with renting a storage, hiring movers, them comming over and moving my parent's one bedroom apartment was very positive. The process to rent storage unit was simple and fast. Michael, the mover, came on time, was very thorough wrapping the furniture. All the furniture was moved to storage within five hours. The price was fare. I had great experience all around.

First and foremost, staff is unprofessional and lack the ability to interact with consumers appropriately. Additionally, my visit to the recently opened Cubesmart was met by a worker who showed me a storage space and assured me that I would receive fist priority to that particular space once work were completed on the third tier. However, on the date i moved in I was confronted by a worker who was very loud and belligerent from the moment i walked into the office. I noticed a person I had known from another location and greeted the person and was about to ask her more questions when the employee interrupted with, " come on lets go, no talking, and I thought you were coming in at six-thirty p.m." I stated that my time had changed and i figured i'll bring the cart in earlier. From then on I was treated with rude and mean interactions from this employee. I explained that i had been promised a cubicle on the third floor where i'll be able to maneuver the cart without a hassle. The employee led me on a wild goose chase, going from floor to floor ahead of me, losing me in the process, as well as showing me cubicles that she knew would not be suitable for the cart to fit into. When completing my paperwork in the office, the printed papers was literally thrown to me without explanation. Last but not least, i was called back to the business the very next day by the manager letting me know my cubicle was not locked and I should come into the business and lock my cubicle. When arriving at the business I explained to the supervisor that I was never shown the appropriate way to lock the cubicle. The supervisor acted in a rude manner and without understanding. Only interested in asking me if i remember her from a previous cubesmart site on Cropsey ave.

My daughter and I showed up at the Cubemart at Neptune with an urgent need to empty our van and open up a storage unit. We were met by an incredibly gregarious and super sweet employee by the name Niashia. Even though they were close to closing she fit us in. Niashia made sure we took the best unit for our money and even gave us the best price with 15% off. We were incredibly grateful. The facility is immaculate and very secure. Easy loading and unloading. There hours are the best around. Office is opened until 6:45 pm and facility has gate access until 9 p.m. everyday. I have stored my belongings in quite a few facilities never did a review this flawless and easy going experience evoked my desire to write one.
