Great customer service (Specifically Louis off site at the Grande location, I was on Adams. The unit is in a convenient spot, however, drove me a bit insane. The pavement in the unit can be bumpy, which makes things off the carts fly off. This is maddening if you have multiple smaller objects. The elevator is one use at a time, so if you have a moving company using it, you’re screwed unless you can use the stairs for whatever you are putting it or taking out. The units themselves were good & clean. Good hours for accessing. I would go to the home location rather than the Adams St. location if i were to get another unit.

I did call your customer service and they just repeated the same thing over and over. "Talk to your insurance. Talk to your insurance. Talk to your insurance." Here is a helpful note for those looking to get insurance thru Cubesmart. It conveniently does not cover damage due to negligence maintaining a facility or rodent damage.

Removing things out of a storage unit without permission or a heads up is unacceptable. I was cleaning my unit to add other items, but by the manager assuming that I was leaving and cleaning out my locker is the reason why I am rating it a 0. Respect and communication is key, which is something that the Hoboken CubeSmart team do not possess. I wasn’t moving out, I was cleaning out my locker so I can add other items and some were left behind inside my closed locker. It’s funny because no team member is ever in the premises to help but somehow were able to see in the camera that I was cleaning out my locker and went and removed items I had inside without consent. I have been punctual with my payments, and I never gave anyone the impression that I was irresponsible enough in closing the account without notice.

My belongings were on second floor in middle of the facility and yet everything was damaged. Water damage mysteriously and staff was not helpful. I’m new to NYC and needed the storage short term as I was moving from my short term apartment into my townhouse. The manager communicated with me and was so helpful getting my storage setup before I came in. We found a unit that was close to the entrance where I wouldn’t have to climb all over the place to get my belongings. When I moved my belongings out, the salesperson working in the office that day was very helpful and friendly. No problems whatsoever. Very pleasant experience.

I contracted a Unit from CubeSmart in Hoboken and when I arrived with my items, the unit was at a high location and the ladder to be used to store the items wouldn't even fit well at the entrance of the unit. In addition the size of the unit was SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than the size contracted. When I asked the Storage unit employee he said the size was an "approximate" size. I cancelled it immediately - DON'T CONTRACT BEFORE YOU SEE THE UNIT.

I had a reservation on the day the office was closed and when I went to open my unit a key lock was on it. I was told it would be a combination lock. I call the 800# and she was able to get someone out there as an emergency to open my unit. I was very grateful!

Anyway staff while shortstaffed was nice and helpful The contract sizes however are not matching exactly what you get. Height is way below 8 ft as detailed, my storage is 6ft7 which is a lot of space below...

We were looking for a small 4X4X5 space after we moved to Hoboken. Firstly, CubeSmart offered me the best price compared others in town such as Public Storage. When I arrived, Julie (the onsite Manager) provided the best customer service I ever received at any storage location in my life (and I did use storage at many places in NYC and outside). She explained me the process, offered the best space available, and also, shared insights on how to lower future possible rent increments. If I have to find one area of improvement I would say that it's time to replace the carts used in the building. Its not easy to navigate those over the ramps, specially when its windy outside. Overall 5 stars!

The storage facility is very good however the office and their customer service pertaining to billing is horrible. I have provided by homeowners insurance twice and they are still billing me for their policy (extra 14/15 bucks a month). They told me it was sorted and they would credit last two months however it still has not.

I just wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the staff @ the Grand Street Location. The warm and friendly atmosphere refreshes my day when I visit the location. I often seek their Rep Julie on the weekends mornings 2-3 hour before the store opens cleaning and prepping the facility for incoming traffic for the day… The staff there are often very busy and I sense their commitment for excellence….( Thumbs up !!) UPDATE POST: JANUARY 20, 2020 To Future Clients: I have been a customer of Cube Storage @ the Grand Street location for about 1 year. The unit area is clean. The Staff Brandon and Valarie are very accommodating and helpful. A few days ago, I locked my keys in my locker and I received prompt uncomplicated service to terminate my lock by Valarie.. I had planned to purchase a lock the following day when the Now on the very next day, the Storage Manager called me three to four times to alert me that my Storage Unit ( I currently rent two), was missing a lock.. I was deeply appreciative on the attention to details and hands-on concern exemplified by the Storage Manager to call me repeatedly to remind me that I need to promptly purchase a lock..and the general professional customer service that I received to date.... We moved in less than five months ago and just received a notice in the mail that they’re increasing rent on our locker by more than 25%. The increase goes into effect in less than a month. I am supposed to provide them with one month’s notice if I intend to vacate, yet they didn’t provide us with one month’s notice of the rent increase, even though that requirement is spelled out in the contract. We’re clearing out our locker ASAP and I’m emailing my brother who is an attorney (I love being related to a legal professional). These guys are bait-and-switch rip off artists, be careful. Just google “CubeSmart class action lawsuits.” It’s a very long list.

Fraud. Fraud. Yes, stay away especially from Julie. I stored my stuff back in May, went abroad, got back few weeks ago to pick up my stuff, they told me your name is not associated with that cube. Went to the cube to check and another stuff were stored over there. They told me we can't help you, please call the insurance company..... Yes, as simple as that... I don't know what happened to my stuff, already filed a police report and call the insurance hoping for the best. I think its an internal error by them, they probably didn't type the correct cube # when I signed the contract.. and simply just throw my stuff because no reservation under that cube#. Just stay away from this business, very unprofessional and careless.

My fiance and I rented a storage space here as we were having renovations done in our home. We walked in hot and stressed, Julie gave us cold bottled water and Angela explained our lease and showed us everything we needed to know for our move in date. The biggest plus was being able to back our uhaul right up to the loading dock and wheel our furniture inside. The treatment we received from these ladies was special and put us at ease. We highly recommend this location for those needing storage space.

Angela and Julie are two of the nicest reps for a company that I’ve ever come across. I set up rental of a storage space at CubeSmart from across the country, and their response time and willingness to answer all of my stupid questions was amazing. CubeSmart is unique in that they accept mail for you from all the major carriers, and help place all of it in your storage unit. Nobody else I contacted would do this in any kind of consistent manner. Usually very clean and air conditioned. Easy access by truck via their loading dock. 5 star service. Highly recommended. Beware - scam artists. I had a unit with them for months, and it flooded out because a water main broke. They said that it would be covered under insurance, but it's not. I kept a unit with them for the duration of the claim before they told me months later that I wouldn't be getting anything back. What a bunch of frauds.

Conventient location, the 'locker' size storage containers are a very nice option since we just had small things to store and didn't need a huge storage room albeit a bit tough to reach.

We were able to move and store items from abroad, without being there physically, with ease. The service and facility was clean and easy to get to. Brendan, who was on staff, was incredibly helpful and even accommodated our movers with cold drinks. Definitely would recommend CubeSmart to any and everyone.

Brenden --- Always pleasant, always helpful. Cubesmart was a great offsite storage facility for our needs. 24/7 access clean and great tunes (yup good choice in music playing through) Well lite and safe. Great deal too.

People in the office is very nice and helped us in every aspect, even when we were too late to reach the office and they made all the paperwork on the phone in just 5 minutes. The place is clean and well conditioned. The storage is supposed to be open until 10pm but were working there until well passed 10pm and there was no problem at all opening the doors.

Storage facility is fine, but beware of monthly pricing. Regardless of when you move out, you'll be charged for the entire month. They don't pro-rate anything.
