Anthony Brenton broke into my storage unit and this facility failed to notify me and then when I asked was my unit one of the units he had broke into they were nonchalant, didn't really want to take responsibility for their employee giving him the master key and told me that I couldn't file a claim with the insurance company. Horrible horrible horrible. That man was in my unit for a long time I have items with items that wouldn't be with the items they were found with. I feel violated in so many ways and to add insult to injury I now have to replace birth certificates marriage certificates social security cards. I wouldn't store my items here

0 stars. I had 2 separate appointments. The staff member was 30 minutes late, even though the office "opens" at 9:30 a.m. The 2nd appointment today was scheduled again for 9:30 (when the office opened at 9:30) and this time the same employee was late 40 minutes. Called Customer Care, and was told they would open up a case regarding staffing. I had items in my vehicle ready to get them into the unit, otherwise id be taking my business somewhere else. My time is valuable. So much for customer service.

Definitely complete a walk thru before you sign & pay. This is a trust but verify type situation I definitely regret! Not climate controlled in the storage side. Yes to the office, but it is difficult to catch someone in there. No restroom access without the one person who has the key is working on site. Lights are on a timer, they go out, but don't come back on unless you are at an entry point. The elevator they give you a code to use? seldom does it work. Per Sara, not their problem! The worst experience ever. Where has service gone? Sorry for anyone who had to go through the same embarrassment of having to leave your stuff while they wait around the corner to go through it. (Yet still charge you for the next month!) No professionalism at all.

DO NOT RENT A STORAGE FROM THIS PLACE! The manager I believe her name is Jess is never there. I’ve left messages about my storage numerous times and went there plenty of times and was unable to contact anybody. I called customer service over and over and they couldn’t contact her neither. She don’t return calls and when I finally was able to contact her after a few weeks she looked at me dumbfounded and she smelled like alcohol and looked like she was on drugs. I wouldn’t trust my things at that place ever again because it seems like someone rummaged through my storage and some of my items are missing. The only person that would have access to the units would be the manager and I’m pretty sure she went through my belongings without my permission. This lady needs fired. I don’t know where y’all found this manager but no one should be that desperate for a worker especially when you hired someone that don’t work or do her job. Worst experience ever!

They had a storage unit in Storage Treasure ms that I bid and won and when I went to pick it up after driving to Omaha almost 2 hours away m, the manager wasn’t there and I could not get ahold of anyone after waiting there all day and continuously calling and calling and wasted my time I eventually had to drive back home and called thennext day and the manager never returned my calls and I left messages and even left a note in their drop off box to contact me and she didn’t. Finally when I was able to drive back to Omaha a few days later again , I waited outside with about 10 other people that was already there waiting to talk to the manager and after about 2 hours she finally opened the door . I told her I was there to pickup the unit I won and paid for and she told me she no longer had the unit. The manager kept my unit for herself and they kept my money. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CUBESMART! The manager is a thief and they are crooks! I finally got ahold of the district manager who was in Ames and she did nothing about it! Horrible busines!

Just horrible! No one in the office. Wait over an hour. Doors do not close so there is no Secure storage. Floors are dirty. Called customer service to get help getting into our unit. This place used to be great before the name changed, but ever since then things have gone downhill. Customers have 3 doors they can enter but two of them have been broken for about a year. The only one that works is on the far West side of the building, so if your unit is on the East side then you have a fun ~3 minute hike to your unit every time. The door that does work has had the glass busted out and shoddily repaired by drilling holes directly into the doorframe and putting up a thin piece of metal. But if you're fine with walking, don't expect the carts to help you move your stuff. There's 3 or 4 carts and most of them have broken wheels or are just straight up missing wheels. One is actually so loud you can hear it across the whole building. I've seen people decide to wait for me to finish moving things just so they didn't have to use the loud cart because it's that bad. Half of the lights are also always off. The building is the size of a large commercial supermarket, but they only have every third row of ceiling lights turned on with no motion detectors for the rest. The isle our unit is in doesn't have any lights over it, so the whole isle is covered in darkness. We have to use flashlights on our phone just to unlock the door to the unit. Additionally, no one there responds to emails or answers their phones, so none of these issues will be addressed. On top of all of this, they have increased their prices twice since the name changed. I'm not sure why they need more money if they are not going to maintain the property or even pay for basic utilities. The only thing this place has going for it is the climate control units and the floors are always clean. If climate control is a must and this is your last option, go for it. Otherwise, I would strongly recommend looking somewhere else because that's what we are doing now.

Large, clean, climate controlled unit is fine. However, I'm not happy that the monthly payment is going up for a *second* time since it went from "Affordable Family Storage" to "CubeSmart," yet they haven't fixed the doors or lights. Only the far entrance, furthest from the street, works and the glass on the doors has been broken and covered with a sheet of metal. The motion sensor lights only seem to work every other time and dark hallways aren't fun to carry stuff through. Fix the doors and the lights and I'll be fine with paying more.

They’ve went up on their pricing TWICE in the last year, literally ridiculous. You can call a thousand times and nobody will answer the phone. They make you pay all of this money but majority of the doors don’t even work! 0/10, don’t recommend, rent somewhere else!

DO NOT STORE YOUR ITEMS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Things went great when I first started with them, Jess who runs or ran the place was friendly and helpful and kept the space nice and clean. I don’t know if they switched companies and/or managers of this location, but I vividly remember this one time where Jess specifically asked for me to come by to check my unit out because there seemed to be a weird odor coming from someplace nearby, but nothing was out of the ordinary from my unit for the three to four times afterwards that I came to check up on things. Well, fast forward to today, where I came to grab an item I was hoping to use for tomorrow, and check on some other items that I’ll be needing next week, and it seems to be that there’s at least one large piece of mine missing and things are out of place and you can obviously tell someone rummaged through all my items. I don’t even know where to begin, I feel as though I’ve been violated and it’s a major cause of concern for myself and other patrons and possible future ones, too. Please be wary if you decide to leave your things here. I understand that the following pictures could have been falsely created, but why would I make it harder for myself to go through my own personal things when and if the time to move them from the storage unit were to come up? The first two pictures show the only items that were kept the way I left them last.

Zero stars!! Do not ever put your belongings at CubeSmart Storage(specifically 90th and Fort). I have had a unit there since it was Affordable Family Storage. I had recently fell behind on my payment due to an unforeseen loss of income. I was able to gather the money after about 30 days but was told I had to pay all monies past due not a partial payment and they had tacked on another month plus $160 of fees. The bill just seemed to balloon because of added late fees and not being able to pay anything on it. I let them know I was not abandoning my unit.. they told me my code would be disabled but will be reinstated once I paid in full and assured me I was not getting my unit auctioned because it had not fallen that far behind. I went to pay my bill in full today and was walked to my unit and the manger removed their lock off and I opened it and found that an employee had completely ransacked my unit and stole everything valuable they could get their hands on. They were the only people with access to the unit. Of course the cameras were "broken"(they have been broken for weeks!) and they totally "lost" my unit paperwork to say when employees would have had any contact with my unit. She looked for an hour!! Not to mention I had came several times before today to pay the bill during business hours and the doors were locked and no one was inside. TODAY I waited outside for 30 mins for the manager to reappear. She pulls up late from her posted return time with food and no apologies!! My entire house was in there as we moved out of a house before our next one was ready. I was absolutely devastated! I just sobbed uncontrollably as the manager told me there was nothing they could do. I will file a police report but since there is no footage to assist in the investigation...who knows how that will go. Stay away from them they are theives and exploit any sign of hardship! My husband is an Omaha Police Officer and will tell his buds on the force to never rent from there or their families(and trust me they won't with that kind of activity going on) and they are going to try their hardest to get to the bottom of this because it was outright stolen! They just replaced my lock and came and went as they pleased stealing my things. I will tell all of my clients who are all hairstylists/salon owners to post in their salons to never rent from this crooked business!

I've been with this storage for a few years now & it's really gone down alot!! I'm sooo upset! I went into the office on 6/30/23 & asked the girl at the desk that I needed to stop my auto payment on 10/1 cuz I switched banks & my check was being deposited into my new bank.. she said no problem!! She guaranteed me that it would not come out!!! Well she Lied!!! It came out & now having to pay an additional charge cuz that accout was closed!!! I refuse to support a Lying company!! I will be giving my 30 day notice & take my business elsewhere!! I also noticed how filthy dirty it is.. there is sooo much trash inside & outside the leftside storage door!! There's a camera there.. u can't tell me they don't notice all the garbage!! Plus the door was jammed open when we got there! Do they not have an alarm or security? To let them know that a major door is broken & left open??? Everyone might want to check their units & hope u have rental insurance cuz I truly doubt they will pay for anything stolen due to broken security system!!

Honestly I just pulled in a sat in this parking lot to turn around but I had what I called my spare closet rented at the lake manawa location where I had my off season shoes & wardrobes on wheels with off season clothes hung up. They were nice and dry and climate controlled... Well lit and they had dollies of all sizes available to use to load and unload.. affordability means different things to people.. so call around.. ??

Very easy rental process. Proximity and climate controlled were a must! Have made multiple trips to store, and carts for hauling are always and easily accessible. Jess did a great job taking care of us, and I would recommend their services to anyone!

I stopped in at the council bluffs location and Juana was super helpful - quickly providing all the information I needed to make a decision about the size of the unit. Although CB didn’t have what I needed, she arranged it at the Omaha location. Super knowledgeable! Super customer service!

Affordable Family Storage is not an affordable option. $82 a month for a 5' x 10' unit is double what their competitors charge for the same size unit. They say that they charge a lower rate than their competitors. They are only out to make money and not stay competitive.

I like the place for the space i need and the location to where i live at. However i don't agree with paying more on the second floor when they don't even have an elevator. The front office was very nice and professional though.

This place is awesome. I rented a unit for a wayward tenant and they were able to switch the lease without problem and they had the right space for the price. Only downfall I found was no elevator and not the best move in carts. I would highly recommend looking into this rental space over all others! Centrally located if u are north! I will be using in the future! I was able to pay 3 months in advance and got all the discounts with the payment. Also has insurance incase yours doesn’t cover it. Looks very secure. But i do have to say there is a button to hold the doors open would like to see that go. I felt like anyone could follow me in. How hard is it to enter your code every time you enter?

Worth it for the price! Climate controlled storage was our big must with the Omaha heat and humidity. It’s obviously an old grocery store converted into storage units and it shows with loose cables dangling here and there, and chunks of dry wall propping open hallway doors, but who cares. Great value. You can get in to your stuff at pretty much any time of day, climate controlled, you get a security access code to the main entrance, pretty much everything you need. Oh they require round padlocks but they sell them for 10 bucks. Easy peasy.

We recently moved from florida to nebraska. We packed our car full to save money on having to rent a truck. We had been driving around with our car full for some time and finally decided to get a storage unit. After checking out a few storage units, Affordable Family Storage rose to the top. Their customer service goes above and beyond. They have online booking which is extremely convenient. Jess was amazing in helping us get situated into the storage unit. We ended up wanting to switch our storage unit number and that was taken care of quickly with no issue. We will definitely continue using in the future, and recommend to friends as well.

The storage facility is nice. Staff AT THIS PARTICULAR location are Awesome! However, while moving my belongings out, there was a piece that holds the carpet down that was not secured and caused me to trip and fall, face first. I tried to stop my fall quickly & ended up breaking my right wrist bone, and injuring the other. I still have not heard from ANY insurance company, although one of the Managers told me I would be getting a call from them and that they were going to "take care of me" and rectify this. It's been 2 weeks. However, the call I did receive was not from an insurance company. It was from the Manager/Owner, who refused to put me in contact with the insurance company's contact info, which I am pretty sure is normal procedures when in an accident. I was told to send the info to him. E.R. visit, Dr. notes, x-rays, tests, etc. I am still in a splint, unable to use my right hand, loss of wages, and still under dr.'a care, and just emotionally stressed and drained by all of this. He has instructed all of his staff not to answer any questions, if I call. I am to Only speak to him. I am unsure as to what's going on with this company, but this is totally unacceptable!! And to add insult to injury, he is no longer responding to me. If I cannot get a resolution, I will be forced continue to go public and/or seek other measures. Hopefully, there will be some form of resolution Very soon!

I went to school nearby and needed a place to store my furniture during the summer. When I came back there was an infestation of rats and rat droppings all over the place. Many of my things had holes in it because of rats chewing it up. When I filed a complaint the employee said there was nothing they could do about it because the paper that is signed at the beginning of the leasing of the storage unit which completely absolves the company of any mishaps. Don't store your stuff here unless you want rats and mice all over your things! AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES BELOW I FOUND A DEAD RAT IN MY STORAGE UNIT AS WELL AS RAT POOP! BEWARE!

This location on 90th Street in Omaha is thee best storage facility. First, when you walk in its clean,organized and you get greeted with a hello and a smile. Jess is the most friendly, professional person and if you have a question or even a problem, she will get it answered or fixed. I've had my belonging there for awhile and I feel very confident that they are in safe hands with their security measures. Lots of carts and large brightly lit hallways makes it one of the reasons I'm a customer. But the main reason is the personality of Jess and the price is very reasonable. This place used to be called something else…the new management company is GARBAGE! I am moving out this month after almost 5 years. Theres no safety around this place and the hours are trash. Homeless people walking up to your car while you load and unload as there is no fencing…three blocks down is a different storage rental place off military. GO THERE INSTEAD!

I just moved back to Omaha,NE from Gering, NE. Those who dont know where thats at its near Wyoming so across state. I had a free month of storage at Uhaul but then after that its $150 for a 10x10 storage. I came to Affordable Family Storage and workes with Jess whose AMAZING and got a 10x10 for $85.00. Its also climate controlled which Uhaul is too but not in my budget. Affordable family storage fits my budget and great customer service.

Avoid this place like a plague. I came here with a promise from the front desk that my price would not change and if it would, it wouldnt be drastic. Well I'm here to inform you that my monthly went up over 150%. And I only got a letter to inform me this less than 2 weeks from the change happening. When I contacted them I was informed there was nothing they can do and basically in nice terms they told me i could leave if i didnt like the price. Thankfully December will be my last month there since I wont need it anymore but besides that avoid this place. Other places around the area will happily, affordably, and undeceptively will assist you. Edit: Oh I forgot, to make it worse, when I first got the unit it was 24 hours access, and without warning or anything they changed that to have a closing time. Imagine my surprise of not being able to access my unit during the week days because I work 9 to 9 on the week days.

I have a storage unit started off free for the first month. For the next 4 months I paid $40 a month. Then I come in to pay my bill and they say it’s $70. Smh. Rate increase when ever they feel like it. They get any higher I might start having friends and family meet me in their lobby. It’s pretty nice. Hey Affordable Family Storage. I've had many issues with the storage facility. Starting with day one. Main issue was payments being taken out when they shouldn't have been. The online promotion was not applied and I had to wait for it to be reversed back into my bank account. The second time there was a payment taken out when there shouldn't have been was eventually resolved. But I still had to pay a fee for moving out because they conveniently couldn't find the notice of me leaving at the end of the month. Not my problem their printers and what not hardly work. Not very clean. Restrooms, when actually opened, are filthy and usually have feces smeared all over the place. Also, was uncomfortable going there alone after hours. Always a strange man sitting around inside. Overall, you get what you pay for. Oh, if you try to call the office it's a waste of time. They never answer so you get transferred to customer service, but they can never help and take your name and number for you to be called back. Then you're told the manager will call you back and never does.

Reserved a 5x5 unit not being told it was second floor till i got here with no elevator means im paying 2x more for first floor access as none of us can carry the heavier stuff. Renters ins should have been discussed on the phone call as well. Instead of spending 41.00 out the door im now spending 75.00. Not very happy. Customer service in the building was good and the place was clean bright and well lit.

I have been renting here for awhile and they claim to have security cameras and access codes but my things were stolen out of my unit and they could not do a single thing to help me. Their manager was away from the office and it left the employees with no help on how to enter the security system, I have lost valuable prosecution time in finding the culprit because of the lack of communication in this company, would not recommend.

This was my first time to rent a storage unit, Jesse made it easy and enjoyable. The online rates were the best in town. So happy I found this place! We needed a second unit Rosa assisted with this process she was very helpful. The less expensive units are located on the 2nd floor with no elevator. I went in to get a storage unit and the clerk and I came to an agreement on a unit and price. I had mentioned that I didn't need the unit right this minute and the clerk told me that that would be fine and I could reserve the unit. I even asked if I needed to put money down to hold the unit and I was told that this would not be necessary. The clerk asked when I would like to come back and do all the paper work, I asked when did I need to. The clerk stated whenever you want, I just need to put a date to hold this unit, I told the clerk two weeks. Fast forward two weeks to the day, I returned to finish the deal for the storage unit I reserved. I spoke with the same clerk as previous and was told that I could still have the unit I reserved, but the price had gone up. When I say up, I mean the price had risen by 55%. I was then told there was nothing the clerk could do about the price. Well I was immediately confused because we had previously come to an agreement. I was informed that I was quoted a promotional price and would have had to get the unit at that point to get that price. That would have been useful information to have had on the initial visit. Thanks for the bait and switch. I was not going to make a Google post because I had put a post on the companies website, and guess what the post was deleted. Here's some advice treat your customers right and you won't have to delete negative posts. Thanks for making me have to write a second review. Seems your company is good at one thing, too bad it is wasting my time. Sad thing is is I thought the facility looked nice and the location was convenient. Thanks In response to the reply: I enjoyed your response. I especially liked how you explained the deleting of my review on your company website. Classic. I wanted to clarify to you that I understand supply and demand and the seasonal shifts that come along with it, as far as your pricing is concerned. What I don't appreciate is when me and another person or company have made an agreement and the other party does not hold up their end of the agreement.

Now this is the place to rent a storage unit. I was on my last hope finding a storage place that I could afford on my very tight budget. I searched google and a miracle happened I found this place. I talked with Sarah the first time not committing to anything and she wasn't short with me very patent and happy to help. Being in Customer service for over 30 years and in the frantic mood I was in...she kept me calm and answered every question patiently. She calculated everything so I would know exactly what I needed to have ready when I came. When I did rent at the 90th street location Jess was there....and WOW talk about CUSTOMER SERVICE! Jess was kind and so happy to help...but mostly you could tell she liked her job because she was actually genuinely HAPPY. She walked me thought every step and even found me a better one close to the stairs. I couldn't believe the customer service level here and the PRICES!!!! OMGOODNESS! If you look further than this place you are wasting your time....Take it from me I am just an average person with a low income. They truly helped me and they will help you too........

Pay a little extra and go somewhere else. This place is useless and really unprofessional. Customer service was even more useless and lied. I had reserved a unit and tried to get my stuff moved in, but no one was at the office, this was during their "business hours. " I called customer service and they told me a local manager would get in touch with me within a few minutes. They lied. I tried for three days to get a hold of someone, but no one ever got back to me.

I would not recommend this place. Moving things in and out of the building to get to your unit is not convenient

I came in and had my unit finalized in 5 minutes. Really quick process. Nice size unit for a really cheap rate. Boyd took care of me.
