Facilities need updated and monitored better. Our locker was broken into and items stolen last year. Gate wasn't closing for a couple days which means anyone can come in and out without a code.

My experience was that I don't think it's very secure there I don't like the fact that the gate doesn't work and it doesn't seem like there's a lot of people around there I think it could be more secure and the prices are a little high for the storage units that's my thought on the place.

Very satisfied choosing CubeSmart for storage. Jenny got us all setup and she was very nice and very helpful and made the process really easy. My unit is close to the door and they have carts you can use. I accidentally didn’t lock my unit properly one day and was given a call by the office to let me know which is very reassuring! Code access & open during normal business hours. Very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place!

So I loved how nice everyone was when I signed the lease, however the reason for the 2 star rating is that I fell behind on the payment for a few days so I was locked out which is understandable. However I caught the bill up before business hours on Friday 9/9, when I went to storage later that day while my password and keycode worked at the gate nobody had removed the second lock on the unit before the office closed for the weekend, so I am now locked out of my unit until Monday 9/12 and I feel that never should have happened. The second lock should have been off by the end of the business day after I made the payment Friday. The only exception to that in my opinion is if I didn't make the payment until late in the business day Friday but I made it before the office even opened.

I honestly wish I could give a better review I used affordable family storage 4 times in the last 7 years I was very pleased with the first 3 times using the place. I was welcomed professionally and it was very clean and a comfortable experience. Unfortunately this last 4th time visiting to get a unit I didn't feel very welcomed by the gentleman at the counter, or was completely comfortable with my belongings. Considering noticing a huge mice/rat problem ?? ?? ?? first unit I was shown had two in the unit and walking through to see another unit I notice two more. Taps are everywhere. But in my book that's clearly a nasty unpleasant problem needing to be fixed for a better welcoming experience and a customers review.

They keep raising the rent on the units. I got this unit when it was originally 117$ an month which is still rather high, but the location was convenient. Now the rent has raised astronomically since I've had this unit since 2019 to 149$ a month. Completely outrageous. There are several units in the area that rent out for about 80-100$ a month, SAVE YOUR MONEY, there are much CHEAPER options with the same temperature controlled environments.

Everytime I have contact with these guys they make things very easy on me. Today I spoke with Kiley and she was very helpful updating my Information on file for me and explaining my rate changes. We had stuff there in between moving out of our house and into a larger apartment. Amish dining set, rugs, books, etc. We just emptied it today, and nothing was damaged or dirty. I swept the floor, hardly anything to sweep up. It was easy to get in, good parking, and very clean. I'll store there again if I need the space! Kylie was really nice to work with!

I have to change previous review. This is not a secure facility. Main doors haven’t functioned in at least a year. In 3 years rent has gone from $105 to $156 and they fix nothing. They are impossible to contact and only allow auto withdraw. They will not process any over or underpayment. My door has never stayed taller than me and I’m 5’ 2”!

There are a lot of options out there for storage units but if you are in the Council Bluffs/Omaha area, I don’t know why you would go anywhere else for your storing needs. We used Affordable Family Storage 2 years ago (a small indoor unit) and had were so happy with that experience, that when it came time this summer to store all our college dorm stuff - I knew exactly where to go. Maribel was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed when moving in last minute today. I only call one place for storage here in CB- it’s Affordable Family Storage.

I would like to say if course everyone is nice when you first rent a storage garage they want your money. But let something unexpected come up in your life like losing you job or having time off for a death and not have the money to pay for your storage. Then you will see the true colors you will be treated poorly and you will be charged crazy late fees, lein fees, and lock removeale fees. They are very high priced one of the highest around. And i have had my stuff in my srorage for 3-1/2 years my rent has been raised four time in the last year in a half. Two of the times i was not even notified. When i questioned them about it Maribels response was we send a thirty day notice telling you we are raising the rent if you dont want to agree with the new rate you can move your stuff out. I have one if the biggest storage units out there it isnt that easy to just move all your stuff. So recently when i lost my job i reached out asking them to work with me explqining i lost my job and i get a letter telling me they are raising my rent in march, just what i needed after losing my job. My rent was 170.09 when i first rented the garage now it is up to 222.00 a month. Everyone is real nice when you are handing them money but be late on your payment and watch how quickly things change.

Gates are always open. Front door is frequently open. Side doors frequently unlocked. People running stores in their units. Blind spots (lack of cameras inside the building) galore throughout. Light gauge chicken wire over the top of the units makes it easy for low life's to see into your unit and pick things they want. Renters beware you better have a good lock otherwise the Council Bluffs riff-raff will break into your unit. I would highly recommend going else where.

CAUTION! We have been with Affordable Family Storage for over two years. We are leaving abroad and needed a reliable, AFFORDABLE place to store our household belongings. In the past two years, they have sporadically raised the price of our unit over four times. If we were in country, and able to move our belongings, we would have done so long ago. The price of our unit is no longer "AFFORDABLE" as advertised. They may offer a two month price reduction for new customers, but beware! Prices will go up, up, and up at the drop of a hat. It is ridiculous, unethical, and disgusting.

I would definitely recommend this place to everybody! Maribel was very friendly and answered all of our questions for us! Her prices are great and we feel very safe at the storage units. Whenever we've been there it has been clean and having carts available to haul your stuff is a big plus!

This place has changed my mind about public storage facilities. We live in a different state and needed to store our daughters dorm room items for the summer months. I had never heard of this place but it was close to the campus. The woman who helped us was so nice and so accommodating. It got busy while I was there but not once did she make me feel rushed The facility was clean and bright and... It was the best price in town! You will not go wrong with with this place. I highly recommend you give it a try.

My husband and I never had to rent a storage unit before and the staff made it so EASY! They took the time to explain everything to us and Maribel was just so sweet. She was willing to stay late so we could make it to the storage unit and she called to verify we would make it to the appointment. The storage unit is VERY clean, and they make it easy to navigate with their elevators and loading carts! Highly highly recommend this place.

I have never rented a storage unit before so I didn't know what to expect. Very friendly and helpful when I first rented the storage unit, but good luck cancelling it. I work during the hours they are open so was only able to contact them via email. No one answered my emails when I tried to cancel and tell them I had moved out of my storage unit. Also, I hope you don't mind mice in your storage unit, if you get an outside one! I have a terrible problem with mice getting in my unit. Alot of my items had to be thrown away as they were damaged by the mice that got in it. I would not recommend storing items here unless you get an inside unit.

The price and deals are what originally drew us in but once we got there the customer service was amazing and the facility is really nice too. Also, the location is super easy to find.We were able to book our unit online, sign the papers, and move in all on the same day. There was a nice lady at the front who was super helpful and answered any questions we had. We will definitly be coming back next year to store our belongings.

Great in door facility with temperature controlled units. However, a lot of the indoor units are in the second and third floors, which makes moving things in and out of storage difficult.

They people were very helpful when we were moving in there. The two guys that were working that day helped us unload the vehicle. They also waited after hours till we got there I would highly recommend staying here it's a clean facility and its nice to have your stuff stored in climate control also.
