I rented a 16 ft Penske truck in California and was able to return it to CubeSmart self storage at their Davenport, Florida location. I was immediately greeted with a smile from a young man named Braydon. He instructed me on where to park the truck, we went inside the office, sat down at his desk to check out and had a great conversation. Braydon was my first interaction with a Florida native and because of him I felt very welcomed in the state of Florida, thanks Braydon and thanks to the CubeSmart Davenport staff. I definitely recommend CubeSmart self storage, "It's what's inside that counts."

I've had a few storage spaces in the past few years and no one was even close to his customer service, knowledge, enthusiasm, and professionalism. We’ve been CubeSmart customers for over 3 years, the staff at the Davenport (Sullivan Rd) location have always been extraordinarily helpful and friendly! The 5 star review is for them. However, our storage fees have gone up over $100 a month since our first month of rent in Dec. of 2020 (now $260.23!) and there is no discount, rate differential or promotion(s) that benefits long term renters. 5 star staff but -5 stars for what the amount of money required to rent at this location.

I rented an inside unit and a parking storage space. My trailer was burglarized along with approximately 10 others. The insurance is a joke and didn't pay out a fraction of my loss. The loss occurred on day one of my monthly renewal and management would not refund the month's rent even though I moved out that day. The inside unit was contaminated by strong aromas from another person's unit. I ended up having to throw out all of my luggage and clothing as the smell would not wash out. Do not recommend.

These guys are fast and I had follow up with them since the beginning until I change my unit for a bigger one. I had a great experience moving getting a unit and the attendant was extremely helpful. I even gave the service a 5 star when I was sent a review request. However, this was my weekend to move in and I couldn't access the door since said it was out of service. I pressed the call button and got no response. Since a load to drop off, I decided to drive to the other side to see maybe only the one side had an issue (since no one responded to the call button), but it was the same issue. It allowed you to put in your code but then it would say out of service. I then drove to the office and I did see the employee was the with a customer so I said: "Excuse me, is there any access to the units today as I've pressing the call button and there's no reply." The employee who was clearly annoyed said I hear you pressing but as you can see I'm busy with a customer! I'm also a customer that has paid the fee to have access to my unit. I don't matter? So I said to him, "I can see you're frustrated as am I. I can return tomorrow with my truck. Can you tell me if the issue will be fixed by tomorrow?" He got more annoyed and said, "it's the wifi" and shrugged his shoulder and left me speechless. I stormed off angrily. Wifi or not, it's the poor customer service. If he knows of the situation, he should have a sign at the gate. Moving is never easy and its stressful. Empathy goes a long way.

Recently moved in and the staff or at least Ms Vanessa is nice and the place is kept extremely clean, however the front gate seems to always have issues or going through some repair, for one reason or another. To the point I was unable to get in to obtain my work truck. Then there were periods where the gate was just open for days. Safety and reliability brought this rating to 3 stars.

Storage units are way too expensive! I paid for climate control indoor storage and my items still got mold on them. Someone else that had a storage next to me complained about the same thing. The doors were always left opened which reduced the climate inside. I would not recommend this storage company to anyone ever! The prices are outrageous and the they can’t even keep the climate indoors under control. I’m extremely unhappy with my experience!

This is not a self storage at all there is a 10pm time cut off I wasted a tank a gas because I typed in code wrong at 9:59pm lol ?? this is manage smart do not get a storage here if you are moving you will not be able to access it unless you follow there hours it is not cubesmart and self storage it is manage smart and hours of operation. They shouldn’t even give you an access code this is not what I expected at all with the name self storage at the end.

Staff is very helpful but the prices can be deceiving when reserving online. You gotta read the fine print. I lucked out with getting a free upgrade due to them not having my original unit size available which I totally appreciate. Overall the experience has been positive and I can’t complain that I am only paying around $150.00 to store our items from a 3 bedroom home. Facility is always nice, clean, and quiet. ????

She gave my father and I a tour of the facility to show us where we would be parking our vehicle, and even got 15% off due to a deal they were running (that I didnt know about before I went). We liked what we saw as it's in a quiet area and the property looked pristine, new and well maintained. After deciding to sign up, the whole process took all of 2 minutes and we were out the door and on with our day.

Make certain to bring your lock the day you sign up even if you're not moving items in. I was charged $20 for a lock when I already had one. The units also aren't fully enclosed, they're open at the top.
