Everything was quick and easy to setup, most of it was done virtually and on my own schedule. Move in procedure was clear and easy! The only thing was that my lock on the unit door was damaged, so it made it very hard for me to unlock and relock the unit. Once I couldn't do it, and had to call the manager on call to come help me. They were quick to schedule maintenance to repair the lock, but I was already moving out of the unit. Cancelling my unit reservation and monthly payment was also quick and easy. Thank you! I would use CubeSmart again!

I've kept items with Cubesmart since 2017. A visit last year revealed extensive damage from a rodent infestation, prompting the manager to offer to give me another unit. This unit was subsequently broken into, prompting me to contact Ciro Vigilante the district mgr. Though initially agreeing to cover rent and facilitate shipping to San Francisco, Ciro's responsiveness fell short. He neglected to make timely rent payments and rejected shipping quotes without providing alternatives. During a recent planned trip to DC I offered to pick up my items and take them to a shipper to defray costs, but was rejected again. I was forced to escalate to CS and his supervisor before getting him to agree to pay the costs. After picking up my items he asked me to sign a legal release (which he had neglected to mention before), but notably after I had already left and was on board my flight from DC to SF. Ultimately, not only was Cubesmart not able to keep my belongings safe, but compounded my troubles by seemingly intentionally dragging feet and unnecessarily making the process more difficult. The one positive was that Edwige, the store manager, was responsive and helpful, but her hands were tied given internal systems. I'm adding this subsequent to the response from CubeSmart - you'll find that this issue is well documented within your CS CRM system (~10 different instances). I was even assured that a Regional Supervisor (Susan Birdo) was going to reach out on 2 different occasions, but was contacted by Ciro instead.

I was at the 645 Taylor Street Cube smart location, and I tried to change my last name on the account. David, the person that was in the office, stated that I needed to have my marriage certificate in order to change my last name. I told him that I have my passport and my driver's license, which are government issue forms of identification. I don't walk around with my marriage certificate on me. I couldn't understand why he couldn't use those forms of identification. That was so unprofessional.

Customer Service is phenomenal. Received a courtesy reminder email about the upcoming due date and a courtesy reminder phon call before the fifth day to avoid late fees. Staff was nice and respectful at all times. Facilities are clean and accessible 24/7. I would personally use again and would recommend to friends and family. The only negative is the company does increase the monthly rate at least $20 annually and sometimes twice annually and there is no cap on the amount to pay for a single storage unit. Example a $69 5x7 unit will increase over a few years to $129 which is the initial cost amount for a larger unit. That was disappointing to me

They really care about people!! My son used this location after graduating from Catholic University (extremely convenient to campus). Tracy and Edwige took great care of us, very professional and detail oriented. When moving out we had some truck battery trouble. We had to leave the truck for a short time. Tracy told me she would keep an eye on it and said she wouldn’t leave for the day until we returned with what we needed. WOW! That is going above and beyond. Thank you both for your help. I highly recommend this facility.

I had a great experience at this Cubesmart. I was sent over here from the Adams Morgan location, due to there not being a size cube I needed. Got squared away immediately at Taylor street. Everyone was super helpful when I moved in, and throughout my stay There was always a staff member to help. I even had a billing issue the day I moved out that was solved by the staff before I even had to call in- they called me, and it had already been taken care of. I will also add that this location is super convenient- never very busy, always carts, easy to maneuver at. Great experience.

There's an employee Tracy, she cares about people and remembers you. I had a terrible move out last year and am putting my college stuff there this year too. First thing she did was ask me about about how I was doing and what my support was like now. I haven't seen or spoken to anyone at CubeSmart since then, she just remembered me. We talked for a while. She'll do almost anything to make your move stress free at that location. No issues with my locker.

Update: after posting this review I got a call from the district manager who acknowledged the mistake and offered a solution. I was upset with the initial service but we all make mistakes and what matters is that companies rectify it as this district manager did. I have to be fair and say the facility is clean and very accessible, but the customer service is far from adequate. i called the store and spoke to the GM when i was shopping for storage units, we agreed on a special and i booked my move date. on the day of the move, and after the movers were unloading my items she apologized for not being able to honor the quote she provided me earlier stating it had expired- she said she couldnt do anything as the system wont let her. i had called the day before and confirmed my arrival and she did not mention anything about the special being expired. at that point it was too late to find another location and move out and she knew that- so i was stuck and had no choice but to pay extra. 6 months later i asked to get a discount as i was going to stay for another 6-8 months and again she used the 'cost of moving to another place' against me. when i reminded her that she did not honor the deal that we initially agreed on, she ignored my statement and insisted on not being able to provide me a better discount. i set up automatic payment and have been paying every single month and for the GM to make no effort in accommodating the fact that she charged me more than she had offered is horrible customer service and work ethics to say the least. and the fact that i am stuck because it will cost a lot to move to another location, is manipulation. i have used other cube smart storages and never been treated like this. i regret going to this location.

Just went to recover my items, including some family heirloom art and furniture, from this storage unit after leaving it for about a year and a half, only to discover the entire unit had been infested by rodents, severely. They chewed through boxes, causing our items to collapse into an immovable pile, and tore though plastic contaminating most of our possessions. We had no food in our second floor unit. This place must be absolutely crawling with rodents. And of course their insurance they sell doesn't cover their disgusting rodent infestation. I do not even know how to begin moving my items out of the unit to try and assess what can be salvaged. Don't store your items here unless you'd be just as happy putting them directly into the dumpster.

Had to store some stuff recently and could not be more happy with the service and the facility. Very secure. Easy access and long daily hours. Helpful people at the front desk. If you order an Uber to pick you up from here, though, pay attention and try to instruct the driver, because the last two turns to get into the parking lot are not obvious to someone who's never been here before.

Employees and management couldn't answer my questions. I was told everything would be in lease; I've now read the lease and it doesn't speak on what I was Looking for. I spoke with Terrance twice in one day. I thought I needed an additional unit and reserved and paid for one and he was quite gracious. I was then informed by my company that we do not need to reserve a second unit and Terrance was gracious enough to cancel the reservation and payment. Keep in mind this was only b/c it was the same day--but he handled it well and I would recommend Cube Smart at the Taylor St NE location to anyone looking for a great Customer Service experience. Give Terrance a raise, or a bonus or some incentive to continue being the rockstar that he is!

Billing policy is to report next amount due, when I was try to check to see if payment received, ended up making another payment and couldn't reach customer service that day or the next. I went into the office and the agent took care of it. They don't have restrooms available except in the office. I pack in a short time frame and needed to reorganize. Inconvenient to to come office and embarrassing to ask to use their restroom each time.

The staff was friendly and helpful but the communication between the Customer Service line and the Location team seems to be not in sync. I called from Yelp to receive an discount and got to my storage location and didn't receive any of it. But because i needed a storage right away I paid 90% of what I originally thought i need to. The CSR said; "It was nothing the could do" I hate that term! It is always something you can do. Most people just don't want to do it! I heard from the GM of that location that they would give me a discount next month. What in the world is the difference? Oh yeah MONEY and some people took advantage of the discounts over time and now it trickles down to people like me. Well I will be expecting my discount or I they should be expected to lose their jobs!

So far my experience has been wonderful! I reserved a cube online, was called to confirmed, and then went down there to fill out the paperwork. Customer service was outstanding and more than what I expected. The facilities are immaculate. The process has been super easy and fully explained. They have dollies you can use and a rental truck you can rent for pretty much free. I welcomed the ease of the process since moving and such have been so stressful!

Keller, the manager, and his desk associate saved my day. After having a reservation at Uhaul in Hyattsville get mucked up by their call center, I rushed to CubeSmart on Taylor St. With 10 minutes to spare, Keller helped me out of a tough situation. I called around Maryland and DC some of the managers were impolite at some stores then some of the stores didn't tell you about hidden fees, called this one and the gentleman was VERY polite and when I got there he was courteous knowledgeable helped out in every way made it a pretty good experience for me the gentleman's name was Roberto and I appreciate it because of him they get five stars.... Good. Not perfect, but good. Good enough security - Two people at the front desk. They lock their main office door and have to push a button to unlock it. The locks that you can buy are not ones that can be cut or easily broken. Right next to CUA which is convenient. Their system was slow the day I was there which meant it took a while to handle payment. Furthermore, they didn't mention the insurance requirement before; they waited until I was right in front of them. And they do have a student discount and an active-duty military discount. Both are 10%.

Only two moving carts/ pullies and one gate to put your stuff in .., terrible ... my move in experience was terrible ?? *** Update: Tanisha was awesome in helping me! She needs a promotion!! I was able to move carefree... had a good experience moving out :)The facility is clean and I didnt have to worry about bugs and my belongings getting messed up like I had to with other storages. If I have to get another storage again, it will definitely be with Cubesmart ..especially this storage. They have the best prices, clean facility and great staff... you cant find all three in this area....I'm satisfied :)

I like my storage area, but there was a problem with the lady on the front desk in her response to me and my husband. I informed her of our problem accessing the storage building. She informed me that I was not allowed on the 1st floor because my storage area was located on the 2nd floor. I told her that we could not get access to that elevator because a car was parked in the first area by the ground elevator, and that we had a piano and that we would have a problem getting it into the area. We were already unloading on the platform and would like the door to open so we could access the elevator to the 2nd floor. We had time constraints that would cost us more money, but she still wanted us to wait until the car moved and was rude to my gentleman husband. I would like to know what your policy is on getting access into this location and how to handle something like this in the future.

I'm a college student attending school nearby, but I live across the country. A friend and I decided to share a unit to store our things for the summer, and it was a great decision. It's affordable for a college student, and the process was very easy. The costumer service was fantastic, and I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

I had never used a storage unit before, but due to some construction delays I needed to get a unit for all my stuff relatively last minute. Everyone I dealt with during the reservation process and move in was great. Definitely recommend this place.
