This is the worst storage facility with the rudest staff I have ever used. I have had so many instances where the manager has acted completely inappropriately and unprofessional. I was inside my storage locker looking for some items. I pulled the door closed not locked but just enough to create some shade as it was over 100 degrees and the sun was blazing. She walked by and pulled the door open and started screaming at the top of her voice that it was not allowed and that she will cancel my lease if I didn't leave it completely open. I explained my reason for pulling it closed and she just then started yelling and went crazy. She slammed my door and left. Another time she went off when I was carrying a large item from the gate to my locker. I can't pull my truck in there because it won't fit around the tight corners so I have to leave it parked outside. Apparently when the gate closed it did not latch properly. This was apparently my fault. She again lost her calm and went completely off the deep end. Running around the place yelling at the top of her lungs about how she wants to cancel my lease!!! I don't even know what to say. I am already unhappy with them because I got 3 notices within the same month for rate increases. When I started with them about 2 years ago I was paying $45. I am now Paying $160 for that same tiny 5x8 locker. I just can't tolerate this place ant longer so I am going to find a new storage facility immediately. Take my advice do not rent from this place. There have been multiple times when I have arrived and seen lockers that were left open and others that have been broken into with items scattered all over the place. The manager from this location is not fit to work with customers and should be removed from this position.

The worst experience ever! A crackhead tried following me in since she didn't have a code. She then followed me around do I couldn't safely get to my unit. And when I tried leaving to get away from her she and her friend tried to attack me with a large stick. All while I was on the phone with the supervisor because my gate code was not working. I cancelled my lease and got a refund right away luckily . That's the only reason for a 1 rating . And it's not possible to go lower.

They don't help you store your belongings.you do loading and unloading yourself all units are outside its so dark on the premises at 6pm.they don't have or rather house outside lights or at least when I visit it's creepy and dark and it feels unsafe especially if you didn't bring a light you barely can see in front of u and I feel that is a red flag so told my sister to move to a safer place they. They don'tCare about your safety especially at night You could get robbed or anything and you wouldn't even see a person coming and this is a six in the evening it Is no place for a woman to store anything in the evening when it's getting dark early they have lights but they just don't have them on they don't even have motion detectors in case someone comes in the automatically turn on it it's just plain simply pitch black dark.so we moved out of the storage unit and I found the place that. Place is very well maintained the grounds are very clean but it's not comfortable if your lady to the store anything in there after dark I would advise anyone that's concerned about the safety to find another place to go until they decide that they want to spend a little extra money on the lights for the customers other than that they seem do not care about your safety That's just the side by the office the other side is this larger I don't have any idea how to operate it over there but I know on the smaller side by the freeway the closest to the freeway it's pitch black but cheaper to rent in a lot of other storage don't consider the specials consider your safety cuz they don't.

The rental process couldn’t be any easier and even though I did not meet with an actual person I had the feeling of great customer service. My experience up to this point has been a good one and I would recommend Cube Smart if you are in need of a storage unit …. The price isn’t bad either.

Had my storage broken into for the second time. The first time the thief came through the back wall. This latest incident the thief came through the side wall. Paid my bill and insurance every month on my unit. I submitted a insurance claim and was denied because my lock wasn't cut neither was it the first time. I was informed by the insurance company for CUBE SMART that they would be denying my claim. Also was informed they don't pay for inside jobs either. But yet and still I'm required to pay insurance every month. Go figure

Corrected review!!!! Came to get in my storage unit and my lock was gone. Store hasn’t called me back. I’m livid and feel so anxious.**** Updated review. The units all got brand new doors and locks. Original lock was put inside. My unit was safe and clean . Nothing missing. I hadn’t changed my number in the office so they couldn’t reach me. Total mistake on my part. Everything about this cube smart has been great and seamless.

The staff at this location are so helpful and friendly, Marlo especially. Every time I called they helped answer my questions and made me feel valued. The location is a little rough, there’s a homeless encampment on the other side of the fence toward the highway and there’s often trash near the storage units in that area. There aren’t any cameras or signs that there is security present to reassure tenants though we never had an issue with security or theft. Over all a great storage location in the heart of the city.

They raise the rent every 3 to six months. I have been here 6 months and the rent increased twice. My unit was broken into with little to no video evidence. The person was a tenant and the cops did not get enough information from the staff to make an arrest. How sad is that. The staff knew there had been multiple break in. Told me nothing about them. I could have made a better choice in locks if I was properly informed.

Decent storage facility. Like the location, so close to downtown. Was presently surprised, I was able to get a unit, half the size of a one car garage for just over a hundred a month.(last place charged me a little less but unit was a closet...literally. 4ft*5ft*10ft). Excited about all this extra space! ...But of course three months in, and they inform me rhey must increase rent or move me to a smaller unit. ye olde bait n switch! Other than that, the place is great, staff is friendly and helpful, ill stick around for now Edit: this place is SECURE! I accidently left my storage unlocked(slaps forehead) for over a week and not a single thing was missing when I returned to correct it. The staff promptly took notice and informed me that I hadn't put the lock on correctly. They are so friendly and helpful and pet friendly as I always have my dog with me. It was a hot day and they didn't mind letting me bring my dog into the office with me instead of leaving her out in the hot car. Awesome people to work with, even though I know I can be a bit of a pain. Haha bravo! +1star

It's an alright place, there is people that jump the fence though and there's sometimes people waiting for you to put your code in, so they could get in. I don't like it when they do that I don't even know if they get in trouble for that and I don't even know if they have a storage there. My storage in the past had been broken into before, but the price is good. I think they should upgrade their camera's and possibly have more security on both sides or even have dogs for security. Maybe I'll offer them some service ?? overall they have a good price the people are pretty nice and reasonable.

This place is complete bs!! First month they conveniently forget how much I signed my contract for and over charge me and force me to pay over what i signed a contract for. Next month I paid late and again they conveniently cant find the transaction of my payment and lock me out of my storage. When I go into the office to figure out what is going on they give me a one time access to my storage which was already paid for. I packed up my storage and moved my belongings and here it is now two weeks later Im still waiting on my money back which was the prorated. This place is very unprofessional not to mention this place sits right along side the river so the storages are infested with homeless people just hanging around the property. There are stray dogs that roam around the property as well. There were a couple instances when I couldn't get out of my car in fear that the stray might attack me. I HIGHLY do not recommend this storage!! #GoSomewhereElse #HighlyNotRecommended

Be mindful with them! They mixed up my move out and then they were rude and dismissive when I tried to confirm that my unit was safe. In the middle of a pandemic when people have lost so much they raise rent and try to clear out units. SICK! Paying for storage IS NOT THE PROBLEM!!!!! Of course rates fluctuate, however it's a horrible feeling to pay your fees monthly and get such awful service. I pay my bill ON TIME but almost had my unit sold off at some auction because of their mistake. The service is terrible and management is sneaky!

The grounds were clean and safe. Very good customer service. Ladies willing to help in any way they could. Provided a way for me to get in as I was afraid using the truck I rented to move threw the pathway. I didn't want to damage to truck and or property. Although I would of had room, it was so nice to be accommodated with a entry that was stress free and safe. And as I came in the safe entry I was able to go out the same way. I appreciate that it was a gated and locked location. Made me feel at ease about leaving my things behind. No rodent entry or traces of bugs. That is truly incredible since the location was near open land. Thank you so much for keeping all peeps property equally the same. I like that word ALL. Thank you all again. The easiest process and the best experience I had using your storage.

Overall the facility is nice. Gated entrances with drive up storage units. Prices are competitive and worth it In my opinion. Staff is helpful and friendly. Only Downfall is there are homeless tents outside the perimeter fencing and sketchy ppl around here and there. Other than that, good spot.

The manager at North 16th St. was always nice to deal with. The 10PM curfew was handy, and was the latest I was able to find in the area. Checking in and out was a breeze. Moving out early my last month there got prorated automatically. Overall really easy and nice XP. Con: You can't set-up auto-pay online and I wish I could have.

Office closed for 2 hours while movers and trucks waiting, at 100 an hour. Then found out there is no record of On-line reservation. No apologies! Then office was closed again while all helpers left again without unlocking unit. At $1.50 per sq. ft. a month, there is plenty fair competition out there. It's all about creative marketing promotion by savy investors and developers. Unless you need a headache along with the stress of moving, CubeSmart is highly not recommended. (RIC Properties.)

Well I have a storage there , and Everytime I go there , someone is near my storage in a car or nearby doing drugs. It's getting a little old to see this Everytime. Last night I came there and these people were in the middle of the road way car doors open stuff everywhere. I approached slowly to leave and the guy walked around with a broom and wouldn't let me go by. I had to sit there with my windows rolled up and afraid of what may happen . They were clearly on drugs . Actually scared me.

Too tight for large truck to make turns on the premises! I was not warned before renting a 25' truck, causing damage to their entrance gate. This seems to occur often as the gate was also inoperable for 3 months before I vacated. No lights inside units, probably to keep homeless people wandering nearby from trying to occupy units.

Quick and easy to book. The process was nice and simple. Mia (spelling?) was a delight and answered all of my questions quickly and easily. Drive through lanes look a bit small, but you can fit a uhaul truck down them, recommend going all the way through instead of trying to turn at the intersections.

Awesome managment. Always looked out for me and anything I needed they would do what they could to accommodate. If they told me they were gonna do something they would..homelessness is a problem all over Sacramento so guaranteed majority of storages all over the city will have homeless people using storages to keep their belongings. I stored my belongings here for over a year and never had ANY problems no damages nothing stolen. If I ever need to use a storage again I will definitely be coming back this place. And I definitely recommend it. Once again thank you management you guys are great!

Wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. Got a unit. Visited it 3-4 times. On last visit, fell asleep inside for bout an hour in middle of the day, because I work nights and hadn't slept yet. The property manager found me asleep and cancelled my lease that day. I've been given 1 week to move out even though I've paid 2 months in advance (including mandatory insurance at $12/mo.) F@#k this place.

Pros: Management is amazing. They are very responsive and easy to deal with. I have no issues or complaints here. Cons: There are homeless people that not only live immediately behind the property, but also store stuff in units on the property. Several camp outs can be seen directly on the wall that surrounds the property (you can see them on the google street view). A couple of blankets were also draped over the barbed wire surrounding the unit. When moving stuff into our unit, the property appeared to have several people wandering around. When we asking management about them we were informed they were other customers. There are a couple of gaps on the top and front of the unit that items can pass through from one unit to the next, and a couple of smaller objects we did not own ended up in our space. All that being said, in the 3 weeks that our stuff was stored everything was left alone, and not tampered with. The other thing to note. This is not a climate controlled unit, obviously. There are mice/rats in the units. We found mice/rat droppings all over the things that we had stored here. I imagine that since a lot of homeless people store items here (some things we saw included lots of clothes, pet items, and empty beer cans) the mice/rats have lots of space to thrive, and thus move from one space to the next.

My truck was broken into and all of my things stolen. There is a homeless encampment directly behind the facility and they come over the fence. The facility has not fixed the razor wire and they don't seem to care about security. They refused to help with anything after my truck was broken into. They pretty much refused to help and wouldn't even call the police after it happened. They also "don't get paid to look through security footage, so your on your own. I would not trust my belongings there if I were you.
