Imagine raising rent to $131 a month for a 10x5 unit when competition has brand new units with better AC and on the FIRST floor for $43/month? This place is a JOKE. What a great way to reward loyal customers, jack up the monthly rent price and hope no one notices! Oh, and icing on top. I reached out asking about the price increase. Of course, didn’t receive a response because why should I? They’re going to play dumb and pretend that nothing is wrong here. If you’re renting here, I’m sorry but you’re being bent and you don’t even know it. LOL

Elevators broken. Told it because movers "overstuffed it.". Apparently she's an Otis savant as she sussed the problem w/o actually checking. But, they did not work even if only I was on it, and I am only mildly overstuffed. No carts. So very expensive. They used my time & my money. Check elsewhere.

I went into the office looking for storage at the last minute. I am new to Arizona but my movers really disappointed me. However, The manager Ms. Sandy and her other employee, forgive me for forgetting names but they really came through and made me feel so much at ease. She gave me exactly what I wanted for an easy move-in and out. Thank you ladies both for welcoming me and wiping my tears in such a horrific experience in getting here.

I had 2 units in 2 different locations. The indoor location was great the outdoor one in Gilbert and Riggs was a nightmare. The one on Gilbert and Riggs put a strange lock on my unit and no one knew why. Then they couldn't get it off. No one had bolt cutters and they wanted me to go buy them. I refused. After wasting a whole day they finally found a way to open my unit only for me to find out the lot wasn't being cared for like it was suppose to be. My unit had all kind of bugs in it. Then I had to pay for a new lock. I had to let go of stuff and pay a bunch of money to save items. Never again.

What I thought was a reputable company turned into a nightmare. I went in and singed a least on a Thursday, 2nd floor units. I started to move small items on Saturday, that same weekend and the elevator was not working with the code provided to me. I went to the front office for assistance, no one was there. Waited 30 minutes for staff to show, and staff unable to verify why elevator was not working. After a couple of hours of feeling frustrated with how the elevator was not working I asked if I can cancel my lease and get my money back or some of it back; response was this needed to be done within 24 hours. However, this was not disclosed to me when signing the lease nor is it in the FAQ's website. The staff provided me with a temporary password; only after I asked to cancel my lease and try to get some of my money back. Was advised to call Monday to speak with the manager. With my items in my vehicle, I left and got a storage unit elsewhere and as instructed called on Monday with no one picking up at the office. Called the after hours which got me in contact with the office, and told me I have waited a week to try to cancel (but from Thursday to Monday is only 4 days???) Expressed my frustration and told them I was not able to get items to the 2nd level, and the manager advised I need to go over so she can check my units are clear, but reminded her it is clear because I could not get my items up to the 2nd level. I asked if I can speak to someone else, she offered to reach out to her district manager but demanded I need to come by so she can inspect my units are free of items. As instructed stopped by the place, (surprise no one there and had to wait 20 minutes) and was advised spoke to her district manager and the district manager was unable to provided refund as I waited over the 24 hours (again not disclosed at signing lease nor on the website FAQ). Tried explaining why I felt frustrated and was unable to finish my sentences as the manager kept interrupting me and I pointed it out that she keeps interrupting me, but the same explanation was provided that I waited a week to try to cancel, if I would of known I would of checked within the 24 hours with the code and used the elevator, the day I signed the paper work we "checked" by inputting the code for the bathrooms, which worked but for what ever the reason was did not work on the elevator, the manager said its the same thing?. My advise is to check with the actual elevator and verify it is working, and if anyone wants to cancel per the office it needs to be done within 24 hours.

The climate controlled storage building is located very close to a home depot, great location. Facility is well maintained with friendly staffs. Lighting condition and environment inside feel better than other facilities I have used before. Reasonable priced, it offered more space for the same dollar. It has covered unloading space, but it's west facing. Plan your move in the morning especially in the summer time (it's 9 months of the year in Chandler). It lacks a loading dock also, and the restroom is on the other side of the building near office. No onsite garbage disposal possibility. Overall I like it very much. I use it to store my workshop items, and I use car or van to move mostly so lack of loading dock is not much of an issue for me.

Although I am no longer a Customer of any storage facility, if I ever need one again - it will be a CubeSmart Self Storage facility. I say this only because of my sterling experience at this facility at 295 East Ocotillo Road in Chandler, AZ. The General Manager and her staff always made me feel welcome and always got the job done - whatever it was. When I closed on a home in the area, Karen's store manager facilitated my vacate process, making it very smooth. Very clean from front door to my storage unit and inside as well. For the time I was a Customer, altogether a very happy experience!

Their business model is to increase rent every year without just cause. Place is filled with cockroaches and the staff is very unfriendly. Strongly do not recommend. 7/29/22 Updated: rent was increased again and they sent out a notice I received on July 17th saying rent with go up July 29. Their policy says they'll notify at least 30 days in advance, so they put a date on the inside like it confirms it was sent out then (see picture). Absolutely terrible business and still extremely dirty on the inside.

Each time I enter CubeSmart on Ocotillo to make a payment, and Karen happens to be working that day, I am greeted by name and a pleasant "how may I help you today?" After my payment transaction is complete, conversation with Karen becomes very easy, like the heat of the day, or rain we need or have had too much of or front page newspaper topics. I believe conversation with Karen is always made easy because of the warm and welcoming smile on her face and most important to me, the smile in her voice that invites further conversation. I have not had an issue with my storage area or with CubeSmart in general. Had this unit for a few years to keep my belongings when i moved to California temporarily. Such a wonderful facility - AC controlled/security/easy access to your unit, very kind and helpful staff (Karen is the best!), and great rates. Would highly recommend this storage unit!

I want to say the facility is amazing. And the people are awesome. I have had nothing but great encounters. Especially the general manager she is above the rest number one. They had a faucet leak in there office my cube is next to it. They assured me if the leak came into my room they would help in in anyway possible. The office it’s designed not to let anything penetrate it. That being said my items where not affected and the courtesy call was appropriated. 5 plus. These rooms are cooled and for the same price as I was paying for an outdoor unit. No dust or bugs. Again it’s an amazing place. Highly recommend!!!!

The staff at CubeSmart is awsome and so helpful! The General Manager, Karen, has always been so kind and ready to help out however she can. They helped me see the best deals I could get and were just helpful throughout the process. The facility is very clean and I've always been able to get carts when I need them. About 3 to 4 years ago, my Mom went with CubeSmart as she had to move for a while when having some health issues. We kept it until we moved into our larger townhouse and had an awesome experience. We are going to be in our townhouse for about 2 more years until we buy a house, and we decided we wanted to free up some side space in our garage for a variety of reasons. It was starting to feel too "packed" in. When we decided on a storage unit, the first place I checked again was CubeSmart. I was very pleased to see that CubeSmart bought out the previous company who owned this location (Dominion). We visited on a Sunday and Ali was there to help us. He was extremely friendly, SO helpful, and took a good amount of time to show us 3 units around the place to help us decide on the best location for our needs. CubeSmart rates ARE SO affordable. I know rent raises after a while, but it is insane the rates some of the surrounding places are charging. We did shop around first, and CubeSmart outranked everyone else. This location has a large easy to park loading bay. Both elevators are right there in the loading area. They also have SECURED restrooms, that are available to tenants only, even if the office is closed which is huge. The facility is extremely CLEAN, well lit, and I love how safe it feels. Our unit itself is great. It was clean upon move in, the door is easy to move up and down, and the climate control is perfect. The location we chose is off the beaten path of the facility and I feel my stuff is safe. Access hours are between 6am and 10pm. Also, you can only use the elevators by entering your code. Additionally, your code will ONLY allow you to go to your floor. You cannot access any other floor (besides ground), that is not yours. I like that level of security. Although, we would RATHER not have a storage unit right now, just to have a small one to be able to help us not feel so cramped at home (we combined 3 households into one), we are so glad to be here. We met Karen as well, what a class act she is! Both Her and Ali are prime examples of what customer service should be, and to be honest, just good, GENUINE, people. We had some small challenges moving in (Not because of CubeSmart, but one of the elevators has been down for maintenance), and they both have been working so hard to bring it back up and running and are always willing to provide updates when we ask and help where they can. MY ONLY recommendation right now: To either open the ground doors for the carts and the elevators, you have to enter your code on the keypad. If the elevator is not right there and it has to come from another floor, by the time the elevator arrives, when you press your floor button, it doesn't register. I have had to step outside the elevator, enter the code again, then press my floor selection for it to be able to go. It will be tricky to do from the 2nd elevator. That would be the only TINY small downfall and an idea for a future improvement. But again, being so small, whatever. For future customers, keep in mind that the locks used at this location are Cylinder Locks. We brought in our old lock from when we used CubeSmart the first time at a different location, but the old company who built the building, used the Cylinder Locks so we were not able to use our lock. We did have to buy the lock but they have plenty in stock and are a VERY fair price. I acutally like how more secure they are and am okay with this. Key's are small, so be mindful and store carefully!

Had my stuff here for a few months. Staff was nice, units super clean, climate controlled, fair price. And you don't need to give 30 days notice to vacate. You do have to buy a lock from them, no choice on that.... But IMO, not as greedy as some of the other chains. Would rent here again

FYI Cubesmart does not give cash refunds if you pay for anything in cash over $20. Now mind you, they don't inform you that as you make your cash purchase. They tell you when you try to make your return, they'll issue a check to be mailed to you in six weeks. Can you really trust your check will come?!? Their 800 number tells you they'll contact the district manager but they don't handle the retail side, so you get to wait for a district manager. Yay! As long as you have time to waste choose Cubesmart.

They take your deposit when you've specifically asked for someone by name and they say oh she's not here right now(they don't even have someone by the name I asked for). But in reality I was at the wrong property and they just wanted the sale. Refused to return my deposit after they lied to me about my reservation being with them(it was with dollar Self Storage next door). I had a reservation next door FOR A BETTER RATE and they lied and said the person I was asking for just wasn't working today but she really doesn't even work for the company, she works at Dollar self storage. Disappointed. 2018 is the year of liars. Crappy customer service. Bad for business.

Climate controlled storage sheds that use a/c and not swamp coolers. There are 3 levels accessed from the ground level and two elevators. Your code will only allow you to access the floor you are renting on. The lights are motion activated and there are security cameras at all access points. The roller doors use recessed cylindrical locks so there is no need to buy a padlock and someone cannot just cut the lock off.

It was a great experience going to this location. Monique and Many were amazingly helpful and friendly, the storage unit is clean and easy to access. My wife and I were so greatfull that we had the option to use the truck (free), it made things way easier for us. The facility is clean, easy to get to and has competitive rates. I love that all the units are indoors so I don't have to worry about my stuff getting damaged from the heat or getting filthy from the dust storms blowing stuff under the door. What really sealed the deal for me was the manager, Monique, and the tour she gave us. She's a neat lady & super helpful!
